Toshiba Satellite C55D-B5212 is a 15.6 inch budget general things notebook with decent performance to handle day-to-day tasks smoothly: Browsing the internet, spreadsheets and word processing, photo editing, playing less demanding games and anything else other than complex multimedia stuff or the latest game titles. It is suitable for college students or anyone that don’t want to spend a lot on a computer but get the best performance and features possible for the dollar.

AMD A8-6410 is a low voltage processor with a TDP of 15 watts without sacrificing on performance.

15.6 inch HD Trubrite LED backlit non-touch widescreen display with 19:9 aspect ratio, 1366x768 maximum pixel resolution and the integrated Radeon R5 series graphics processor that allows you to play some of the most current games at lower resolutions and settings.. This is not a Full HD screen so don’t expect to see the same image clarity or sharpness but it is satisfactory. Conclusion: Toshiba Satellite C55D-B5212 is a decent, functional, well-built and portable system with performance- speed and basic power that is designed for budget-conscious customers and does not include the non-essential features, so you’re fine with most of the daily tasks but not the advanced games at high settings or demanding engineering, video production and professional photo editing programs- you will need a much more expensive model with at least an Intel i5 processor and a good amount of RAM- 8GB+ as well as a mid-range discrete graphics card, but this Satellite can still be considered as a cheap gaming laptop with the Radeon R5 graphics as it has better performance than say Intel HD 4400. It would be good if the screen had the touch functionality as Windows 8.1 goes best with touchscreen computers. 1 month trial versions of Microsoft Office 365 and Norton Internet Security are included as well as a number of recovery, media and service software you may or may not need and you can remove those you will not use. It is EPEAT Gold and Energy Star qualified and comes with a 12 month standard parts and labor warranty.
