Snow white HP Chromebook 11-2110nr is a new ultra slim but a full size laptop that runs on Google Chrome operating system that is designed to run most things online, giving you quick access to web content- allowing you to browse the web pages, use social media and play online games. This late 2014 release model comes with a decent entry level Intel Celeron processor that is designed for basic entertainment or office tasks, Solid State Drive instead of regular slower HDD and a battery life of up to 8 hours on average use.

HP Chromebook 11 is offered with an energy efficient Intel Celeron N2830 processor at 2.16GHz base speed with turbo boost up to 2.41GHz and no hyper-threading, 2 GB DDR3L SDRAM memory that is OK for basic multitasking and computing- even for a small Chromebook and you can have several browsers open but not have demanding tasks running at the same time as this would cause delays, very fast 16.0 GB eMMC Solid-State Drive for overall speed and quick boot-ups but small storage space so you will either need an external hard drive or use Cloud based Google Drive’s 100GB online storage (needs to be used within 60 days of purchase of this machine) and have access to your files wherever you have internet connection and Chrome operating system that updates itself and the apps automatically in the background and give you safe and easy web experience.

11.6 inch diagonal HD anti glare WLED-backlit non-touch display with 1366x768 pixel maximum screen resolution offers good enough picture quality for a small budget Chromebook but it is lower resolution than Full HD so you can’t expect it to be super sharp and the HD and FHD difference is actually less noticeable on smaller displays anyway. Intel HD graphics card that is integrated with the Celeron CPU is for basic everyday multimedia tasks and for the light- less demanding games at lower settings with acceptable frame rates so neither the Celeron 2830 nor the Intel HD graphics would be enough for modern 3D gaming and you probably know how much more these gaming machines would cost and this being a Chrome machine you can’t play those games created for Windows operating system. It comes with a HP TrueVision HD which is claimed to offer vibrant image clarity when you are video chatting on Google Hangouts even in dim light (no Skype for Chrome machines yet). You’ll hear clear sound via its digitally tuned speakers, again don’t expect anything extraordinary here but the reviews are quite positive.

HP Chromebook 11-2110nr 11.6-Inch Laptop (Snow White) Review
Snow white and anodized silver Chromebook has the HP imprint finish with gradient micro dot design, is very light, slim, compact and portable with 2.82 pound weight and with measurements of 8.10 x 11.81 x 0.81 inches and up to 8 hour battery life on a single charge. It has a full keyboard with island-style keys and web shortcuts, a proper responsive touchpad but no separate 10-key numeric pad due to the small size. It doesn’t have a DVD/CD Drive (and Chrome OS does not support DVD codes anyway, you can connect an external drive and use it as read-only, watch the supported files) but a USB 2.0 port, a USB 3.0 port, an Audio-out port, an HDMI port to let you mirror your computer screen on a large screen HDTV, 2x2 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN and Bluetooth 4.0 to connect Bluetooth enabled devices wirelessly, an SD Card Reader to transfer your multimedia files from your media card to the laptop and a front-facing HD webcam with an integrated microphone to video chat on Hangouts with friends and family.

Conclusion: HP Chromebook 11 J9K79UA#ABA is a nice looking, light and portable machine with very long battery life, mainly designed for fast internet use on Google Chrome and is suitable for school, work or play- multimedia and entertainment and you should be aware that Chromebooks are gaining popularity pretty fast and as long as you don’t need the bells and whistles of an expensive Windows or Mac computer, it will be fine for daily stuff (so no heavy gaming or multimedia editing). It has a basic Intel Celeron CPU that would be adequate for basic everyday tasks, 16GB SSD for speed and performance (but small storage size so you’ll rely on Cloud based storage and you will not be downloading any or much software on this machine but will be using the apps on Cloud), only 2GB for limited multitasking and can not be expanded as there are no user accessible memory slots (would be enough for what this Chromebook is designed to do though) and using any of the Windows programs would be hard without hacking. So there are positives and negatives but given the price, speed, design and battery life and if you’ll be using the computer mainly for the internet, there is no reason why you should not consider a low-cost Chromebook like this HP 11-2110nr model.
