HP 2000-2b19wm is a good performer for everyday computing purposes with a 15.6 inch display with vibrant colors, Altec Lansing speakers, a decent comfy keyboard and looks nice and modern with a winter blue finish. As long as you're not intending to have a go at the very demanding games and applications, you'll be more than fine with it, considering its price tag.

AMD E-300 (1MB L2 Cache) Accelerated Dual Core Processor is cool for what it is designed to do, 4GB DDR3 SDRAM (1 DIMM) memory is more than sufficient but can be upgraded up to a maximum of 8 GB RAM, 320 GB hard drive is again all right for how much this machine costs but could be a little higher- something like 500 GB. It comes with the Windows 8 operating system so it wouldn't be so bad to have a touch screen too, but the good size touchpad seems to function quite well. Simply go on the Microsoft website and install the Windows 8.1 for free, you'll get a better deal out of it.

15.6 inch high definition BrightView LED-backlit screen with 1366x768 pixel resolution and AMD Radeon HD 6310 Graphics card with a 1972MB total graphics memory for screen and graphics.. There is not a lot to be said about the display quality, you're going to enjoy its decent widescreen display when you're watching movies or playing games. Altec Lansing speakers are also quite reasonable in terms of delivering full sound and clear talks. The integrated HP TrueVision high definition webcam with digital microphone seems to be good for Skype chats with friends and family.

The HP 2000 comes with a full size keyboard with black keys. It does not have a numeric keypad but a responsive and medium sized touchpad with 2 buttons that seems to be customized to Windows 8, so you can pinch, swipe and zoom easily. The handrest has the same blue color as the lid and this looks quite smart- there isn't much wrong about the HP 2000 in the looks department.

It has the right stuff internally to meet your daily essentials in an appealing package- you'll find a large HP logo on the wrist rest and the lid on a winter blue HP imprint finish. Battery life is a little under 5 hours- way better than computers in its class, so you'll be fine when you're out and about.

In terms of connectivity, there is a SuperMulti DVD burner on the right hand side but no integrated Bluetooth or USB 3.0 ports and you have 3 x USB 2.0 ports instead, as well as a Multi-format digital media card reader, 10/100Base-T Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n wireless, an HDMI port, 1 x Microphone-in, 1 x Headphone-out, a 15 pin VGA port, an RJ-45 (LAN), a 2-in-1 card reader and a HP TrueVision HD webcam with a digital microphone.

Conclusion: HP 2000-2b19wm 15.6 inch in winter blue is a basic needs computer for home entertainment, word processing, school or small business needs. If you will be editing complex multimedia and run the 3D games, you're better off looking for another model and of course pay heaps more. Or perhaps pay a bit more and get a Dell Inspiron i15RV-6190BLK with a 500GB hard drive, USB 3.0 and Bluetooth. HP is great for emails, surfing the internet, spreadsheets, watching Youtube videos and listening to songs, has a durable solid build and a long battery life to get you going for a while. Well, probably also quite hard to beat its price.
