Black HP 15-f111DX is a 15.6 inch budget touchscreen notebook with a quad core AMD A8 processor, ample storage and generous memory for multitasking with very positive customer reviews online- they are generally very happy with what they got for the money. This is not a powerhouse or a gaming monster however, but a fast and good (not the best) performance bargain PC for watching movies, surfing the net and other similar tasks- really decent laptop for the money.

HP 15-f111DX comes with the quad core AMD A8-6410 processor with 2GHz speed up to 2.4GHz with boost function for optimal computing, 8GB DDR3L SDRAM (on 1 DIMM and roughly 1GB is allocated to graphics with 6.94GB left for other stuff- quite generous), 750GB Serial ATA hard drive at 5400rpm rotating speed as large storage space and fast read and write times, plus 25GB of Cloud based Dropbox storage for up to 6 months and Windows 8.1 (64-bit) operating system which is more user friendly than the previous Windows 8- quite good technical specs on the paper and in practice for daily stuff.

15.6 inch diagonal high definition BrightView WLED-backlit touchscreen display with 1366x768 pixel resolution for easy navigation thanks to the responsive touch function and good image and video quality with rich details and vivid colours and screen could be a big brighter and obviously sharper if it was Full HD but it is something you can’t get at the price level. The integrated AMD Radeon HD 8210 graphics that shares the memory with the processor and uses about 1GB, allows you to play only the older game titles such as Minecraft and World of Warcraft fluently and a few 2014 games at low settings and resolutions. It has a webcam with an integrated microphone for video chats with friends and family.

Matte black HP 15-f111DX has a simple but modern design with a plain case and HP logo at the back. It weighs 5.7 pounds with measurements of 14.80 x 12.50 x 1.20 inches, so it allows easy portability. It has a lithium ion battery and battery life is specified as 5 hours on average use in specs by the manufacturer but some customers report it to be shorter than that- around 3-4 hours on average use. Keyboard is comfortable and ergonomic with a 10-key numeric pad and a trackpad that feels smooth and good quality. Connectivity options include the SuperMulti DVD±RW/CD-RW, 802.11bgn wireless, 10/100Base-T Ethernet LAN with RJ-45 connector for wired internet, Multiformat media reader that supports SD format, 2 x USB 3.0 ports for faster data and multimedia transfer and 1 x USB 2.0 port, an HDMI output to connect it to your large screen HDTV and more.

Conclusion: HP 15-f111DX comes with CyberLink Suite, Evernote, Microsoft Office 365 (1 month trial) and a bit of bloatware that you may want to get rid of before you start using it (those you think you will not need) then it will work much faster and will help you perform your daily tasks efficiently. Quite a few reviews suggest that customers are quite satisfied with their purchase- sure it is a not a super computer with the best of the best specs and features but seems to offer awesome value for money with pros definitely outweighing cons. It boots up fast, quad core A8 processor performs well overall, has generous amounts of memory for multitasking without lags or freezing and spacious hard drive, works quietly and without heating up, has sharp graphics, good range of connectivity ports.. is a great mid-range (at an entry level price) fast laptop with generous specs for internet use, word processing, spreadsheets, video watching, photo editing and even playing the older games properly at higher settings.
