The speakers are very good quality for a laptop and sound good even at the highest volume. There are no moving parts on the flash-based SSD and makes no noise, lets you access your data faster, generates less heat and is less of a burden on the battery. It has a 4-cell lithium ion battery that lasts up to 6-7 hours in web browsing. For connectivity you have the Wi-Fi 5 802.11ac wireless, Bluetooth, a USB Type-C port, and a Headphone/microphone combo jack. It has the white-backlit illuminated keyboard for typing or gaming comfortably in the dark but without much key travel and with also a decent trackpad.
This one is much thinner than a typical gaming laptop without any of the over the top aesthetics, which would work if you’ll be using it for other purposes. You’ll get the 30-day trial version of the Microsoft Office 365 if you’ll be using Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc. You have the convenient Start menu of the Windows 7 and the brand new Microsoft Edge browser that lets you write, take notes and highlight directly on the web pages. Asus ROG Zephyrus G offers decent gaming performance but if you want to play the hard games at the ultra high settings, then you need to pay a bit more. The GTX 1660 Ti graphics on this Asus is faster than GTX 1060 of 2018 and offers quite a bit at this price level. It is quite a good value laptop for how much its costs and build quality and features.
