ASUS Chromebook Flip C434TA is a 2-in-1 laptop with a Full HD resolution 4-way NanoEdge touch display, Intel Core M3-8100Y processor, 64GB eMMC storage and Chrome operating system. This Amazon’s Choice brand new release Chromebook is offered in two versions of C434-DS384T with the 8GB RAM and the C434TA-DSM4T with the 4GB RAM.
They are pretty much the same model and it will come down to whether you need more multitasking power provided by the extra 4GB memory and pay for the extra. The Chromebook Flip has the 14” FHD 4-way NanoEdge touchscreen with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and the 5mm thin very narrow bezels. This way they are able to fit a 14 inch display on a laptop with a 13” size body.
As you can tell from the Flip name, it comes with the precision engineered ErgoLift hinge that lets the screen rotate 360 degrees to be used in four different formats of laptop, tent, stand and tablet modes. And it will hold the screen safely at any angle. The Intel Core m3-8100y processor offers maximum speed of 3.4GHz, that is very fast for a Chromebook and you can enjoy snappy performance in your daily tasks. Both versions will let you open lots of tabs simultaneously and use a few apps, and all will run smoothly without any lagging or freezing. It will be even smoother if you pick the C434-DS384T version with the 8GB memory.
It has a bright backlit keyboard that will let you work or play comfortably in the dark or dim light, with the responsive keys and trackpad with the palm rejection function. For connectivity you have a a microSD slot, 802.11ac wireless, Bluetooth, a USB Type-A (Gen 1) port and two reversible USB Type-C (Gen 1) ports that support the display-out and power and let you charge the laptop quickly or hook up to other devices. The precision-crafted aluminum metal body with the sleek diamond-cut anodized edges gives this machine a premium look and feel, and is lightweight, sturdy and durable. Chrome operating system is a bit like being on the Chrome browser with many Google apps, comes with the built-in virus protection and updates itself automatically, starts and shuts down in just seconds. You have access to all the Google apps you may be familiar with and download them and movies, music, books, TV and more on Google 
Play store. You can edit and download your Office files on Google Docs (Word), Sheets (Excel) and slides (Powerpoint). Apart from the 64GB local storage you get an extra 100GB of Google Drive space for back-up of files and additional storage.
You’ll have the vivid colors and deep darks on the Full HD touch display that offers realistic life-like image. The hinge has double action of lifting and tilting the keyboard into the optimal position for you when in the laptop mode. And this way additional space for the speakers will be created under the Chromebook. You can expect up to ten hours of battery life from its lithium polymer battery in normal use and this will depend on the apps, environment etc. The built-in graphics card is the Intel HD Graphics 615 on this Chromebook and should be adequate for all Chrome games and multimedia.

It has an integrated high definition webcam with adequate picture quality at the top of the display for your live chats with friends and family. There is no HDMI output on this model but a USB C to HDMI adapter can be used easily to connect to TV’s, monitors etc. Whether you choose the 4GB or the 8GB version, RAM is soldered to the main board and there aren’t any slots for upgrades.
