Acer Predator Helios 300 ( PH315-52-78VL) is a May 2019 hot new release gaming laptop with a premium look and feel and high-end and user-friendly set of features. As a very powerful machine with the 9th generation Intel i7 processor and other top of the range specs, it can be considered as a gaming powerhouse

It can also be used for multimedia editing and other very demanding business and leisure tasks you may want to perform on a computer. The Acer Predator Helios has the built-in Intel UHD Graphics 630 iGPU is similar to the Intel HD 630 graphics card for basic performance at reduced details when playing the latest games. For gaming and advanced multimedia purposes the Acer Helios comes with the dedicated high-end GTX 1660 Ti with a 6 GB GDDR6 dedicated video memory that ranks at the same level as the GTX 1070 Max-Q. It is the perfect graphics card for gaming smoothly and at high frame rates at Full HD-1080p resolution.

The 15.6” FHD widescreen LED-backlit display has the 1920x1080p resolution and IPS panel for wide viewing angles vertically and horizontally, 144Hz refresh rate, 16:9 aspect ratio, 3ms overdrive response, 300nit brightness and 72% NTSC. Acer Predator Helios 300 weighs just over 5 pounds and measures 14.23 x 10.01 x 0.9 inches. It comes with the fourth generation all-metal AeroBlade 3D fan, Killer Gaming Network Ethernet E2500 LAN 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet LAN, 802.11ac Killer DoubleShot Pro wireless with the 2×2 MU-MIMO technology (Dual-Band 2.4GHz and 5GHz) for the better connectivity and gaming experience. The HD webcam has the 1280 x 720 pixel resolution and supports the SHDR- Super High Dynamic Range.

Sound quality is also pretty good throughout the two integrated stereo speakers with the Waves MaxxAudio technology with  MaxxVolume, MaxxDialog, MaxxBass, Acer True Harmony Technology, and the hyper-realistic 3D Audio that uses Waves Nx. The connectivity options include an HDMI 2.0 output with HDCP support, a Mini Display Port 1.4, three USB 3.1 generation 1 ports one of which with the power-off charging, a Thunderbolt 3 (Full USB 3.1 Type C) port, 802.11 wireless, and the E2500 Killer LAN. The lithium ion battery lasts up to 6 hours in regular use, not in heavy gaming but it is still OK. Intel i7-9750H with 6 cores based on the Coffee Lake architecture clocks at up to speed go 4.5GHz when the tasks require and can execute 12 threads at once. You can expect up to 50% better performance with the two extra cores. Considering all the specs and features and the current price point, we believe that it offers rather good value for the dollar.
