Acer NX.M31AA.007 is a great notebook which should appeal to a variety of PC customers. What makes it special in the current market is firstly it features Windows 7 operating system- not the notorious Windows 8 and secondly has a large 17 inch screen for watching movies or working more comfortably on your daily tasks. Well, it has a nice price tag too- which helps!
4th generation Intel Pentium Dual Core 2020M (2MB Cache) at 2.4 GHz speed is a reasonable and satisfactory CPU- a bit like Intel i3 that offers you the ability to deal with a variety of demanding programs and multimedia tasks.
Memory is a 4 GB DDR3 SDRAM, which is sufficient for most computer users but can be upgraded to 8GB for less than $50. Same could be said about its 500 GB 7200 RPM SATA hard drive: Adequate but you can always get an SSD for even better overall performance and faster start-ups.
17.3-Inch FHD display at 1600 x 900 pixel resolution is good for videos and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760M graphics provides serious power for any task.. Integrated stereo speakers and Dolby Home Theater v4 offer full range sound, better than many laptops in the market.
Black Acer V3 weighs 7 lbs and 1.36 inch thick and has a wide range of connectivity options, that include 802.11bgn wireless LAN, RJ-45 Ethernet port- 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet, 2 x USB 2.0, 2 X USB 3.0, DVD±RW optical drive, 1 x Audio-out Port, HDMI port, VGA port, Webcam, SD Card Reader, headphone jack, microphone jack. Operating system is the 64 bit version of Windows 7 Home Premium, which is often much preferred to the newer Windows 8 and 8.1.
Conclusion: 17.3 inch black Acer Aspire NX.M31AA.007;V3-731-4439 is a fast computer with a large screen, latest Haswell processor, decent memory and hard drive space but not very light to carry around- being a large screen laptop and it could have more memory and hard disk, but considering its price you're probably not likely to get better than this system overall. It offers great value for money with also its Windows 7 operating system.
