Satin gold sleek Toshiba Satellite L75-B7270 is a large 17.3 inch non-touch screen flexible and affordable entry level laptop with a 1.7 GHz Pentium processor, a DVD drive, DTS Sound, HD+ screen quality, a USB 3.0 port with Sleep and Charge function, designed to be a multipurpose machine that can be used at work, school or home for work and play.

Toshiba Satellite comes with the Intel Pentium 3558U at 1.7GHz base speed with no turbo boost or hyper threading functions, 4GB DDR3 SDRAM at 1600MHz to multitask efficiently- sufficient memory at this price level and can be upgraded to 16GB, 500GB Serial ATA hard drive at 5400rpm as spacious enough storage space- with HDD Recovery and Windows 8.1 operating system as a stable platform for anything you do on a PC and it is a shorter learning curve than the original Windows 8. Pentium 3558U is an ultra low voltage processor that was released at the beginning of 2014 and good enough for day-to-day tasks- multimedia and office.

17.3 inch diagonal HD+ with 1600x900 pixel resolution TruBrite LED-Backlit screen with 16:9 cinematic aspect ratio offers decent image quality and being quite a large screen for a laptop it gives you the space to multitask- do several things at once conveniently- listen to music, play videos, navigate through Windows apps etc. Intel Haswell HD graphics card is good enough for day-to-day graphics stuff as it is more or less equivalent to the Radeon HD 8250 and Intel HD 3000, but not the latest games at higher resolutions- you need a higher level CPU and at least a mid-range dedicated graphics card for that purpose. It comes with a HD webcam with a built-in digital microphone for problem-free video chats. Sound is quite all right through the stereo speakers tuned by Skullcandy and DTS Sound.

Toshiba Satellite L75-B7270 17.3 inch Laptop Review
Slim design great looking fusion finish in satin gold Toshiba Satellite weighs 5.9 pounds with dimensions of 16.30 x 1.30 x 10.60 inches. Battery life from its 6-cell 48Wh lithium ion battery isn’t great at 3.8 hours and the keyboard is the premium feeling frameless TruType with a numeric pad on the side and Click pad pointing device that supports multiple gestures. Connectivity options are DVD SuperMulti drive that supports 11 formats, 802.11bgn WiFi wireless, 10/100/1000 Ethernet LAN with RJ-45, Multiformat Memory Card Reader that supports SD, SDXC, SDHC, microSD, miniSD, MMC, 1 x USB 3.0 port, 1 x USB 3.0 port with Sleep and Charge function which would allow you to charge your smart device when the computer is in hibernation or even off, 2 x USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI port, an RGB port, Headphone jack (stereo), Microphone jack (mono) and Security Cable Lock Slot.

Conclusion: Satellite L75-B7270 is a Toshiba, which is one of the best brands for laptops, especially for reliability and durability. Windows 8 is still not a much preferred operating system even with the 8.1 upgrade and the battery life is reported to be a bit less than four hours and it doesn’t have Bluetooth installed but that can be sorted out with a USB dongle cheaply- with the purchase of this PC. It includes 1 month trial versions of Microsoft Office 365 and Norton Internet Security but you may want to remove this and install the AVG Free version which would be enough to protect you from evil attacks. To summarise what we’ve been explaining above.. If you are in the market for a large screen HD+ laptop that is good enough for surfing the net, working on your word documents or spreadsheets, playing lighter games and that kind of stuff, you really can’t go wrong with this Toshiba. It is an Energy Star qualified machine and comes with 1 year standard limited warranty by Toshiba for parts and labor.
