HP 13-M110DX is a convertible detachable 2-in-1 laptop and tablet with a Haswell Intel i3 processor, 4GB SDRAM DDR3 and 128GB solid state drive. It had a great discount on Amazon last time I had a look too.

The i3 processor provides dual cores at a humble 1.3GHz speed, which could be considered not so fast and you don't have turbo boost, but it may be used for infrequent complicated applications. The 4GB RAM can be upgraded to 8GB if you need more RAM. It performs well at everyday stuff as well as some gaming/multimedia but not at tasks that are too demanding. 128GB solid state drive is not really large however it offers you very fast boot up times for the operating system and software.

Modern silver HP 13-M110DX comes with 3-cell lithium-ion polymer battery that offers sufficient battery life and it has OK portability with its 4.9lbs weight and 0.90 inch thickness- close to the weight and size of a standard 15.6 inch laptop. It doesn't have an optical drive but 1 x USB 3.0, 1 x USB 2.0, HDMI, Bluetooth, Wifi 802.11b/g/n and a multiformat media card reader.

HP 13-M110DX Review
13.3 inch screen is an independently functioning tablet when detached from the keyboard and works great as a laptop with the keyboard attached. It has a high definition LED-backlit responsive touch screen with IPS technology at 1366 x 768 pixel resolution and Intel HD 4400 graphics.

For its price, it is a great convertible laptop/tablet. The negative about it is how much it weighs, hence being not so portable as a tablet. HP 13-M110DX may be the perfect alternative for an everyday consumer who is seeking flexibility, however. It may act as a notebook with a full keyboard, and simply remove the keyboard and you have a proper tablet using a 13.3 inch touchscreen. Moreover, working on the Windows 8 will be easy with this intuitive display.
