The 256GB Solid State Drive is great for speed of overall running of apps, opening files, starting the machine etc. which is also good on Windows 10. You’ll go through some Windows 10 updates when you turn the machine on as they are released regularly. But everything is pre-installed and ready to use on this great machine. The keyboard is one color backlit with the 4 zone RGB lighting (Static or Off). There is a single M.2 slot for an SSD on this model and the 256GB SSD occupies it. You can hook up any Bluetooth mouse or headphones that you want on this HP Omen.
The keyboard is quiet, tactile and feels nice to type on, with a numeric pad and arrow keys. There is only very little backlight bleeding on the screen and the quality is nice and clear, with also the 144Hz refresh rates. The edges of this laptop are a bit sharp and can feel a little comfortable when you use the keyboard and trackpad. It has a lot of high end powerful parts inside and will run a bit hot, making the fans run and making a little noise. And it is a very large machine that probably needs a good size backpack and a permanent spot on your desk. This is a very powerful gaming laptop for the price, with the best technical specs and all the ports including a Thunderbolt 3. Despite the small cons it is a very powerful machine for the price level.
