Lenovo Yoga C940 2-in-1 14″ Laptop

Lenovo Yoga C940 2-in-1 14-inch Ultra-Light

Iron gray Lenovo Yoga C940 (81Q9002GUS) is an ultra lightweight 2-in-1 laptop with a 14-inch Full HD touchscreen and a 360-degree flip-and-fold design to be used in diferent modes, including laptop, stand, tent and tablet. The high-end technical specs include the tenth generation Intel i7-10765G7 processor, 1TB PCIe Solid State Drive, 12GB DDR4 SDRAM, and Windows 10 Home operating system.

It is the best Lenovo Yoga so far but faces competition from the similar HP Spectre x360 or Dell XPS 13 machines. You have the option to get it at roughly 90 dollars cheaper at the moment if you’re fine with a lower SSD storage capacity of 512GB. Other great features on this expensive machine include the backlit keyboard, fingerprint reader, Stylus pen, the faster 802.11 ax wireless, Thunderbolt 3 port and a good quality 720p HD webcam with privacy shutter and a dual-array microphone.

The tenth generation quarter two of 2019 release quad-core Intel i7-1065G7 processor (4 cores, 8 threads) has a Passmark benchmark score of 9015. It has a base speed of 1.30GHz that moves up to 3.90GHz with the turbo boost. 12GB system memory is fairly generous for full-power multitasking and should satisfy most users’ needs for RAM. They can work with multiple windows and apps without lagging or freezing. 1TB PCIe SSD is great for those with the large storage capacity that needs to save their photos, videos and games and offers lots of speed (quick data access).

14″ Full HD capacitive touchscreen supports 10-point multi-touch gesture and has a 16:9 image aspect ratio and and IPS panel. There is no dedicated graphics card but the built-in Intel Iris Plus Graphics G7 with a performance level slightly better than the AMD Radeon RX Vega 10 and the video card benchmark score of 1874. This is not designed as a gaming machine but more like a powerful 2-in-1 laptop with a premium design. It will let you play some modern, not very demanding game titles like Rocket League, Rainbow 6 Siege and Fortnite.

The TDP- typical Thermal Design Power is 15 watts and the battery life on the brand new Yoga C940 is impressive at roughly 13 hours. It weighs 2.98 pounds and measures 12.6 x 8.5 x 0.68 inches- is only 0.68″ thick. There is no CD/DVD Drive and a microSD card slot on this laptop and the connectivity options include the WiFi 6 802.11ax wireless, Bluetooth, 2 x USB 3.1 Type C ports, a USB 3.0 Lenovo Yoga C940 2-in-1 14-inch Ultra-Light Touch LaptopType-A port, 2 x Thunderbolt 3 ports, 2 x Thunderbolt ports and a headphone jack. Yoga C940 has a bigger screen, good key travel and decent speakers unlike the LG Gram.

The touchpad feels a bit hard and the touchscreen is reflective- has a bit of a glare. Stylus that this Yoga C940 comes with has the 4096 pressure sensitivity levels. All the ports are located on the left hand side and you can’t hook up the USB-C charger on either side. The speaker grill is built into the laptop hinge and the sound will be heard clearly even when you’re using it in the folded- tablet mode. It runs cool and quietly overall with the fans starting to work and making noise only when it is under very heavy workload. We like this 2-in-1 Yoga C940 for its premium look and feel, beautiful design, high performance, very long battery life, dynamic speakers with crisp sound, backlit keybaord with good key travel and it is worth considering if you have the budget.
