Lenovo IdeaPad 5 is currently rated a 4.2 out of 5 stars by 27 people that used or had an experience with it. You can also purchase the same notebook with a larger 1TB SSD storage by paying about 110 dollars more at the time of this product review. The quarter two of 2019 release quad-core Intel i5-1035G1 processor (4 cores, 8 threads with the hyperthreading) works at 1.0GHz up to 3.6GHz speed and has an average CPU PassMark benchmark score of 7985 for an upper intermediate to advanced performance overall.

The typical TDP- Thermal Design Power for the i5 processor is 15 watts and you can expect an easy 7 to 8 hours from its lithium ion battery in practice, despite its demanding FHD touch display and all the power it has. The 512GB PCIe Solid State Drive is a generous amount of local storage space for all your files. And you may want to go for the 1TB version if you will be saving a lot of large files like games and videos. 16GB DDR4 SDRAM memory at 3200MHz lets you multitask very efficiently with a few apps and browsers running smoothly, simultaneously.

15.6-inch Full HD IPS matte touch display has the 1920 x 1080-pixel resolution, 16:9 image aspect ratio, 300-nits brightness and 90% active area ratio. It offers solid picture quality with vivid colors and good contrast and supports 10-finger multi-touch. The keyboard is backlit for you to type, work and play comfortably in the dim light or dark. The built-in Intel UHD G1 graphics card performs better than the Intel UHD 620 that you may be familiar with. It is sufficient for the daily graphics needs of an average computer user for web browsing, video streaming and playing some modern games at low to medium settings and resolutions.

This IdeaPad only has the built-in UHD G1 and it is not designed as a gaming computer anyway. It has a HD webcam with a privacy shutter to help you protect your privacy, by closing it when you’re not using it.

There is no Optical Drive on this slim Lenovo and the connectivity options include the latest 802.11ax wireless, Bluetooth, a USB Type-C port, an HDMI output, a USB 3.0 Type-A port, 3.5mm headphone microphone combo jack, a Media Card Reader, a power port. Dark gray Lenovo IdeaPad 5 has a sleek design with a premium finish with both aluminum and plastic construction and is easy on the eyes,  weighs 4.44 pounds and measures 14.07 x 9.18 x 0.75 inches- it is slim, compact and portable for its large screen size.  The new IdeaPad 5 works very well with the tenth generation i5 processor, large SSD and memory, modern ports and feels great with a large touchscreen and thin bezels. With such high specs and features, a responsive large touch display you’re getting very good value for the dollar.
