14″ HP MT21 Mobile Thin Client Laptop

HP MT21 Mobile Thin Client Intel 3865U

HP MT21 Mobile Thin Client is a compact, ultra slim and durable business laptop with a sleek and modern design, 14-inch diagonal high definition display, Intel 3865U ultra low voltage processor, adequate amounts of SSD and RAM and outstanding battery performance.

The second quarter of 2017 release dual core Intel Celeron 3865U processor (2MB cache) runs at 1.8GHz speed with a benchmark score of 1913 for an entry to medium range performance for your daily tasks. 4 GB DDR4 SDRAM (1 x 4 GB) with the transfer rates up to 2400 MT/s offers sufficient multitasking power for a few browser tabs and apps open at once. 128GB Solid State Drive is great for speed and some local storage space, which will be enough as you’ll probably be saving a lot of your files on the Cloud storage.

The 14-inch diagonal LED-backlit HD screen has the 1366 x 768 pixel resolution which is not as sharp as FHD but more than enough for business purposes. It also comes with the HP Audio Boost and the HP noise cancellation functions for the built-in speakers and the microphone. There is also a 720p HD quality webcam for better conference calls on Skype. It has the Intel HD Graphics 610 built-in card for your daily multimedia needs and even playing the non-demanding games.

The 3-cell 48 Wh long life lithium ion battery lasts up to 15.5 hours for when you’re out and about and away from the power outlets all day long. We like the very sturdy construction and the very slim exterior that covers a solid aluminum keyboard deck. It even passed MIL-STD 810G military standard test for robustness and durability.  The connectivity options include the 802.11ac wireless, Bluetooth 4.2, Gigabit Ethernet , a USB-C port, a USB 3.1 Gen 1, an HDMI output, a Multi-format Digital Media Card Reader, a stereo headphone/microphone jack combo and a security lock slot.

You’ll only have a single cable and be able to keep your desk free of clutter and mess. You have the USB-C port that allows you to hook up to several external screens, a gigabit network connection and a power source via optional docks. The typical Thermal Design Power- TDP is 15 watts which will help with the much longer battery life. It weighs only 3.6 pounds and easy to carry around. There is a thin mylar layer for the premium keyboard for the potential spilling accidents. It comes with a one year limited parts and labor warranty if you need it within a year.

*A thin client laptop runs through central server resources rather than a local hard drive. Such laptops remotely connect to a server environment where they save the memory, apps and sensitive data. The cost is less, there is more security and efficiency as well as scalability.
