Dell Inspiron 23-5348 is a 23-Inch All-in-One desktop PC as part of the 5000 series with Windows 7 Pro operating system, non-touch Full HD sharp display, 7 USB ports (two of which are the USB 3.0 variety), towerless and single cord set-up that helps avoid clutter, adequate amounts of memory and storage, Pentium processor with a decent Passmark score putting it in the list of mid high-range CPU’s. You can choose the Intel i3-4130 (faster but significantly more expensive processor) version with touchscreen, Windows 8.1 OS and twice the memory and hard drive through the same product page on Amazon.

Both are designed as great home computers, suitable for both work and entertainment of students, home office workers or anyone that want an all in one system without super gaming power or don't need to run very complex multimedia or engineering software. Dell Inspiron 23-5348 has the dual core Intel Pentium G3250 processor (3M Cache) at 3.20GHz speed without turbo boost or hyper threading, 4GB DDR3L SDRAM for sufficient multitasking, 500GB HDD Serial ATA hard drive at 5400rpm spindle speed (average size and speed about both quite adequate for most users) and Windows 7 Professional 64 bit English operation system.

23 inch anti-glare non-touch Full HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and Intel HD Graphics (Haswell) with weak gaming graphics performance (You will need a more powerful Intel i5 or i7 system with a mid-range or above graphics card if you are into heavy gaming and you’ll be fine with the less demanding games), great engaging high definition audio with Waves MaxxAudio and stereo speakers and a decent webcam for great Skype chats with family and friends. Sleek and elegant Dell Inspiron with black base and slim display will look nice in any room of your house- it is something you’d want to show off, has only a single cord to connect the screen to the power outlet and monitor, so you can use more of the space on your desktop for other stuff. You can put it on your desk, table or kitchen bench and it is wall mountable- VESA mount is sold separately and you can hang it on a wall in a suitable part of your house if you wish to increase available space on your desk. Dell Wireless Keyboard and Mouse are also included in this AIO package. Connectivity options are the Tray load DVDRW Drive that reads and writes to DVDs and CDs, 802.11bgn WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 to connect Bluetooth enabled wireless printers, speakers and more, 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet with RJ-45 connector, 5 x USB 2.0 ports, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, 4-in-1 Media Card Reader (SD, MMC, SDGC, SDXC), an HDMI output and Audio Line Out.

Dell Inspiron 23-5348 23 inch All-in-One Desktop with Pentium G3250 and Windows 7 Review

Conclusion: Dell Inspiron 23-5348 is a large 23 inch non-touch screen All-in-One desktop computer that is easy to set up (quick in just 10-15 minutes) and operate, with great sound of Waves MaxxAudio + stereo speakers (although bass could be a bit better), sharp and crisp picture with FHD LED-backlit anti-glare display. It comes with Windows 7 operating system and it is still much more preferred than the Windows 8 (you can upgrade it to Win 10 by the end of July 2015 within one year of its release). You’ll find that it works much better than similar priced laptops and everything is included in the price- a high quality Full HD monitor, wireless keyboard + mouse. Pentium G3250 has the Passmark benchmark score of 3336 at the time of this review as a high mid-range CPU and a Thermal Design Power-TDP of 53 watts and consumes less energy than the more powerful Intel i3 alternative you will see on the same page on Amazon and performance to price ratio is significantly higher. So to summarise what we have here is great design with sleek low profile appearance, robust build, clear and crisp monitor, decent range of connectivity, comfy to use wireless keyboard and mouse combo, nice specs and features at an affordable price making it value for money and ideal for everyday computing and a bit more demanding stuff (suitable for both beginners and more experienced), with good customer service by Dell and the standard 1 year warranty.
