You can do pretty much anything you want with the ASUS V550CA DB71T, from word processing to listening to music, to watching movies to playing games and more. It feels solid and durable, powerful with an intel i7 processor and 8GB RAM, with a storage space of 1TB.. and looks slim, elegant and lovely to boot. [sc:adsense]

Dual-Core Intel Ivy Bridge i7 3537U at 2.0 GHz (up to 3.1 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology). 8 GB DDR3 RAM, 4MB L3 cache and Hyper-Threading technology of Intel, multitasking becomes really easy as you'll be able to push the already powerful processor up to four virtual cores.

Asus V550CA DB71T comes with 1024 GB (1TB) 5400 rpm Serial ATA Hard Drive. You can also save your files, music, photos and videos on Cloud based ASUS WebStorage (32GBx 3 year service valued at $50 is included in the package) and access them from any device and all your files will be safe with Asus' secured network. When the notebook battery falls below 5%, your data is safe and secure with the auto-backup as well.

All glass 15.6-Inch Touch Screen with 16:9 aspect ratio and 1366*768 pixel resolution is very functional and responsive- you'll enjoy the multi-touch gestures such as swiping, dragging, sliding, tapping and pinching to zom on its touch screen. System uses the Intel HD Graphics 4000.

Really good sound quality- richer and deeper bass, a wider audio range and sound clarity through larger built-in speakers and ASUS SonicMaster Lite technology. Special sound chambers let the sound waves expand outwards from the limited laptop space. ASUS AudioWizard function gives you selectable modes for music, movie, and even games depending on your needs for sound.

It wakes up in 2-seconds from hibernation with Super Hybrid Engine II, also starts and restarts fast. Well the Ivy Bridge i7 processor itself is powerful and fast anyway.

Chiclet style comfortable keyboard and track pad but I found myself using the touch screen more.

Windows 8 (64 bit) and the highly intuitive touch screen on Asus Vivobook V550CA work great together. The difference in Windows 8 from Windows 7 is the use of customizable tiles in a tablet style setting. Applications, weather, news, contacts and the functions that you use most will be right in front of you in tiles on the main start screen. [sc:adsense]
