Pros: Good performance - USB 3.0 port at such low priced notebook - Dual layer optical driver that is non existent in expensive models - Asus 1 year accidental damage warranty - Light and portable
Cons: Multitasking with very demanding applications may be a little hard but more than adequate performance overall at this price range.
Although Asus F55A-ES01 15.6 inch is in the budget- low price category of notebooks, it provides good balance between performance and price and comes with great features you wouldn't expect at this price range. It is great for uni work, word processing, multitab internet browsing, playing songs, watching movies and even playing not very demanding games.

Storage: 320GB at 5400 RPM- more than sufficient for many, especially for light(er) users and students.
• 15.6" HD 1366 X 768 pixels LED screen with Intel GMA HD. So definitely good quality graphics and nice bright screen.
• Windows 8 comes preinstalled and works just fine with no problems. It may take a little time getting used to Windows 8 for some but you will probably enjoy the features like the use of tiles and quick boot.
• Connectivity: 1 x USB 2.0 , 1 x USB 3.0 for fast data transfer, dual layer optical drive DL DVD±RW/CD-RW, WiFi 802.11BGN, Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, Built in webcam and microphone.
• Black, nice shape, great keyboard design, feels solid and sturdy- certainly doesn't look cheap.
• At 5.8 pound weight and 14.90 x 9.90 x 1 inch dimensions, it is a very portable machine- light and easy to carry around.
Conclusion: First of all you have the Asus name here, so you can't expect anything cheap and nasty from them. This is no different with Asus F55A- ES01 15.6 inch notebook. It offers great value for money: Features you would get in more expensive machines, performance, power, design and portability.. If you don't intend to spend a few hundred dollars more, this one is definitely right for you. Highly recommended for budget consumers.
