via Amazon
Apple MGX82LL/A is the newest 13.3 inch ultra thin powerful Macbook Pro with Retina display, a 4th generation Intel i5 processor and 256GB Solid State Drive in an all aluminium unibody design. It offers very long battery life- up to 9 hours, ease of use, lightning fast speed and portability. Mac computers are almost always worth the high price tag and this one is probably one of the best laptops on the market. Now let’s see why..
Macbook Pro MGX82LL/A has a dual core low voltage Haswell Intel i5-4278U processor (3 MB shared L3 cache) that was released in quarter 3 of 2014 at 2.6 to 3.1 GHz speed with turbo boost function, 8 GB DDR3L SDRAM at 1600MHz, 256 GB PCIe-based Flash Storage for snappy performance- fast boot ups and instant waking up from sleep mode and OS X Mavericks- the world’s most advanced operating system with the Time Machine backup that automatically backs up essential data to an external hard drive and if you need to run Windows applications you can use Boot Camp to do that. Well known OS X apps like Keynote, GarageBand, Pages, Numbers, iPhoto and iMovie are of course included. Just make sure how much storage space you will need and purchase the right model as it can be hard to upgrade later on.
Glossy finish 13.3 inch LED backlit IPS Retina widescreen display with 2560-by-1600 resolution- meaning 227 pixels per inch with a total number of pixels of 5 million, up to 178 degree viewing angles and Intel Iris 5100 Graphics offer greatest visuals on a laptop- so great that it will be hard to look at other screens after this one and they will look fuzzy. Gaming performance is quite all right too even though the Intel Iris is an integrated card, it is the top level one- one level below the Iris Pro that is found on 21.5 inch late 2013 iMacs and its performance compares to the GeForce GT 620M as it doesn’t come with a dedicated memory like the one level up Iris Pro does and you can play some of the most current games at medium settings and at resolutions up to 1366x768 pixels. Sound quality is quite good on the new Macbook Pros and you’ll experience crystal clear live video chats- including Skype with the FaceTime HD webcam.
The silver Macbook Pro weighs just 3.5 pounds with measurements of 8.62 x 12.35 x 0.71 inches- very slim, lightweight and portable, also helped with up to 9 hours of battery life from its lithium polymer battery. It comes with the high speed 802.11ac wireless that also supports the regular a/b/g/n wireless networks, Bluetooth 4.0 for connecting to Bluetooth devices- mouse, keyboard, headphones and more without wires, 2 x USB 3.0 ports for fast data transfers, dual Thunderbolt 2 ports (Mini DisplayPort) for super fast data transfers- at 4 times the speed of USB 3.0 and that lets you connect to two external displays at super high 2560 x 1600 resolution without needing an adapter as long as the display is Mini DisplayPort compatible, 1 x Audio-out port, an HDMI port that is particularly good for connecting to large screen HDTVs, an SDXC media card slot, a MagSafe 2 power port as a magnetically attached power connector that safely disconnects when pulled by accident.
Conclusion: Apple Macbook Pro MGX82LL/A, like most of the other Apple products, is quite a special machine and if you are a current Windows PC user and considering a move to Macs, believe us that the switch from PCs will be easy, in fact much easier than going from Windows 7 to Windows 8. Sure there are differences but it doesn’t take most people more than a couple of days to work it all out, then everything seems to run much smoother. Unlike the standard Macbook Pro with a thicker case, these Retina models have unibodies and user upgradeability is not very easy and as you would already know, although the perfect computers Macs are not really for the very advanced or 3D gaming purposes, but sure you can still play most of these games on this machine at low to medium settings.
The backlit keyboard is quite comfortable to accurately type on with space between each key, doesn’t have a 10-key numeric pad due to the size of the machine but a glass trackpad without separate mouse buttons (the whole trackpad is conveniently clickable- one tap for left and two taps for right click) that supports multiple gestures. All-in-all the new Macbook Pro is a great pleasure to use, it is light, powerful, fast, great for multitasking with its 8GB RAM, has plenty of storage on the 256GB SSD and if you need more you can get an external hard drive cheaply and if you’re worried about moving from larger screen Windows PC to 13.3 inch, you shouldn’t because you will see that the way the display is designed with also the super high resolution of Retina, it does feel bigger than it actually is. The only con we can think of is the price difference and anyone that uses a Mac machine will tell you that they are definitely worth the higher price tags, it is a purchase you won’t regret.
