Acer Aspire C24-865-UA91 AIO 23.8″ FHD Desktop

Acer Aspire C24-865-UA91

Silver Acer Aspire C24-865-UA91 is a 23.8-inch all in one desktop with a Full HD non-touch display, 2019 release Intel i5-8250U processor, a large 1TB HDD storage, 8GB DDR4 SDRAM for good multitasking, Windows 10 Home operating system pre-installed and modern connectivity options and ports.

It is offered as just the display computer or with the keyboard and mouse combo with either a 21.5″ or 23.8″ display. The price difference for the keyboard + mouse is around 130 dollars at the time of this product review. The 8th generation quad core Intel i5 8250U processor works at speeds up to 3.4GHz as needed by the tasks from a base speed of 1.6 Ghz. It has a Passmark benchmark score of 6229 as a high-end mobile processor that will be enough for both the ordinary and challenging tasks.

8GB DDR4 SDRAM memory is more than adequate as long as you will not use the computer for heavy tasks that require very high amounts of RAM. You can work with many browsers and some apps open at the same time. There is no Solid State Drive on this computer which has become standard in most laptops and desktops with the prices of SSDs coming down. But you have very large storage space of 1TB at 5400rpm rotating speed. Larger storage spaces are often needed by the desktop computer users and a large SSD will cost you heaps more.

The maximum power supply is 65 watts on this system. The large 23.8-inch FHD widescreen edge to edge LED-backlit screen has a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. There is no dedicated graphics card as this is not a gaming machine, but the built-in Intel UHD 620 GPU with a videocard benchmark score of 889. You can expect the performance of a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce 920M graphics card. It is fine for video streaming, internet browsing, some photo editing and basic gaming, with casual games like Rocket League or Team Fortress 2.

You have the High Definition Audio Support and integrated stereo speakers for a decent quality sound. There is no optical drive and you need to get an external USB or Bluetooth one, which is very cheap. Connectivity options include the 802.11ac wireless, Bluetooth 4.2, Gigabit Ethernet LAN- RJ-45 connector, 2 USB 2.0 ports, 2 USB 3.1 (Type A) Gen 1 ports, and an HDMI output. There is a 1MP reasonable quality Acer Aspire C24-865-UA91 Displayexternal webcam via USB connector on the top of the screen with a built-in microphone for your Skype chats with friends and family. The keyboard and optical mouse offered are wireless to avoid clutter on your desk.

Silver Acer Aspire C24-865 weighs 6.9 pounds and measures 21.26 x 0.46 x 12.64 inches. Please note that this is not a gaming desktop PC and you’ll only be able to play games like Sims. More complex and demanding games will feel laggy. If you need a gaming machine your options are a bit limited with All-in-One’s and you may need to check out the PC towers. This Acer Aspire is easy to set up, has a space saving design, looks great and feels fast and powerful overall in daily operations. Our only concern is the lack of a Solid State Drive for opening the files, starting up the PC and loading everything much faster. You may also want to check out the alternative models with SSD via the links on this page. You’ll get a standard limited parts and labor warranty of 1 year by the manufacturer as well as the toll-free technical support.
