2020 model Lenovo ThinkBook 13s (20R9005TUS) is a 13.3-inch Full HD business laptop with a lightweight and slim all-aluminium chassis, the Intel i5-8265U processor, 256GB SSD + EST 320GB external hard drive, 8GB memory, backlit keyboard, Windows 10 Pro version and decent connectivity options.
The quarter 2 of 2018 release 8th generation quad core Intel i5-8265U processor (6M cache) runs at speeds between 1.60GHz and 3.90GHz as required by the more difficult tasks at hand. It offers powerful and responsive performance for when you’re working on CPU intensive stuff, playing videos, gaming and multitasking. The PassMark bencmark score for this i5 processor is 7982 on the day of this product review.
The multitasking ability is enhanced by the 8GB DDR4 SDRAM at 2400MHz and you have the option to purchase a larger 16GB memory and twice the storage size of 512GB SSD. It also includes an EST 500GB external hard drive instead of 320GB if you pay roughly 150 dollars more. You have the 256GB PCIe Solid State Drive for saving and opening files much faster. Windows 10 Professional 64-bit version is pre-installed on this laptop with the added security features for protecting your data and PC. Remote Desktop lets you connect to another computer in the office remotely.
13.3″ narrow bezel Full HD IPS anti-glare non-touch display with Dolby Vision has the 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and 300 nits brightness as well as the very large viewing angles. It includes the built-in Intel UHD 620 graphics card with a performance level similar to NVIDIA GeForce 920M. There is a 720p high definition webcam on the top bezel with the dual array noise-cancelling microphones that are voice recognition optimized for great Skype chats and taking still photos. Sound quality is more than acceptable for a 13.3″ portable laptop with the Dolby Audio™ through the 2 x 2W Harman speakers.
Connectivity options include the 802.11ac wireless, Bluetooth 5.0, 2 x USB 3.1 gen 1 ports (one always on), a USB-C gen 2 port that supports the video, sound and data transfer, an HDMI 1.4b output, a Headphone Microphone combo and 65W AC adapter that supports quick charge. There is no DVD Optical Drive but you can connect one
