Silver Lenovo IdeaPad N20P (59418460) is an 11.6 inch touchscreen dual-mode Chromebook with a brand new innovative multimode design that can be used in both stand and laptop modes giving you flexibility easily switching between the two and super portability with its compact size and less than 3 pound weight, a dual core Intel Celeron processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB Solid State Drive, long battery life at 8 hours and of course the Google Chrome operating system.

Lenovo IdeaPad N20P has the Intel Celeron N2830 processor at 2.16 GHz speed that goes up to 2.4 GHz with turbo boost, 2 GB DDR3 RAM for multitasking, no standard SATA hard drive but a 16 GB Solid-State Drive as most things are done pretty much online and user fri endly Google Chrome OS. You get improved performance from the Celeron N2830 for simple daily tasks but it doesn’t have the hyper threading function. It starts up in only three seconds, thanks to also the SSD, has the built-in security features that keep the evil trojans away and gets constantly updated along with the operating system and bits and pieces without you having to do anything manually.

11.6 inch accurate and responsive 10-point multi-touch high definition screen that is optimised for Chrome operating system with a maximum resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels that is not as sharp as a Full HD screen but is still great for the price and what this system is, so you can just make different hand gestures to work on the new Chromebook. Chrome OS is not like Windows 8.1 in terms of usability with a touch display but we think that this will change by time. It has a a 720p high definition webcam and built-in speakers for live chats..

.. A comfy and ergonomic AccuType keyboard with slightly curved bottom edges for accurate typing but with a slightly different layout so you may make small errors till you get used to it but is still the best keyboard for a Chromebook so far, without the 10-key numeric pad due to its size but with a touchpad that supports rotate, zoom and scroll functions. It has great quality speakers (for such a small and low cost Chromebook) that offers loud and clear sound, 802.11 A/C wireless for faster connection and better coverage, Bluetooth 4.0, a USB 2.0 port, a USB 3.0 port and an SD Card Reader.

Lenovo IdeaPad N20P 11.6-Inch Touchscreen Chromebook (59418460) Silver Review
Silver Lenovo IdeaPad Chromebook weighs only 2.9 pounds with the measurements of 11.61 x 8.35 x 0.71 inches which makes it great if you’re out and about a lot and you can take it pretty much anywhere you go without affecting your productivity. Its lithium ion battery gives you up to 8 hours of battery life in average use- mainly normal web browsing and this will go down if you watch lots of videos, listen to music while you’re on the internet or work on more demanding tasks. It comes with useful Google apps such as Google Maps, Youtube, Gmail and many many more apps online through the Chrome Web Store- for pretty much anything you’d do normally on a Windows PC, just in different formats- you can’t run Microsoft Office Suite on a Chrome system, do keep that in mind but you will find other apps to help you do the same thing with word processing and spreadsheets.

Conclusion: Lenovo IdeaPad N20P is quite a compact- slim (0.7 inch thin) and lightweight (2.9lbs) laptop that can be used in two modes with its solid hinge- classic laptop when you want to use the keyboard for normal computing tasks and stand mode by flipping the screen by 300 degrees for touch apps, watching a movie or chatting on Skype. 2GB memory is not a lot but you still won’t experience major lags, the system will work just fine thanks to the Chrome OS, SSD and lack of virus programs that you’d use on Windows systems.

It does look the part- has quite a nice design, has a premium feel despite its low price and seems to be useful for more web related things and if you are like one of the majority of customers that use the computer mostly for internet stuff, there is no reason why you shouldn’t consider a low cost ultra portable touchscreen 2-in-1 Chromebook with a beautiful design, very long battery life to take wherever you go easily, staying away from power outlets with peace of mind and to get your daily work done even if you are a power user. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that this is one of the best Chrome OS laptops so far.
