CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme VR GXiVR8020A Gaming Desktop

CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme GXIVR2800 is a powerful gaming desktop for both advanced gaming and running your daily and complex tasks smoothly as it is capable of handling anything you throw at it with ease. What we noticed at first glance is the high-end GTX 1060 graphics card with a 3GB dedicated memory that is the 12th most capable graphics card in the world at the time of this review with a videocard benchmark score of 8858 and there is nothing you can’t do with it- photo and video editing and playing the latest games fluently at high frame rates per second. Same argument is valid for the high performance sixth generation, quarter-2 2016 release processor, the quad-core Intel i5-6402P (6MB cache) at 2.8 to 3.4GHz speeds with turbo boost and no hyper threading (4 cores and 4 threads) and a current Passmark benchmark score of 7068.

Speed will go up to 3.4GHz when you need more power and stay at 2.8GHz for usual tasks so you can save on energy bills (Thermal Design Power- TDP for the system is 65 watts). CyberpowerPC GXIVR2800 has a beautiful modern gaming desktop design, weighs 32 pounds and measures 20.16 x 9.25 x 21.57 inches- will need a fixed spot under or near your desk. There is no monitor included in the package as is always the case with desktops, but a gaming keyboard and mouse combo. But we would recommend a high-end gaming monitor like the 27" ViewSonic XG2700-4K with its awesome picture quality. You can enjoy superior multitasking with the 8GB high bandwidth DDR4 SDRAM memory which will be plenty for the majority of users to run a few media editing apps, games, programs and browsers simultaneously, a spacious 1TB SATA hard drive at a rapid 7200rpm spindle speed to let you save all your files in one place and the Windows 10 64-bit Home with Win 7 Start menu, Edge web browser, faster boot-ups and shut-downs and more.

There is no Solid State Drive installed on this machine as the price is already quite low and you have the advantage of very large size with the 1TB mechanical drive but you can certainly add one yourself with SSD prices lower than before. The desktop is capable for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift VR headsets for a great variety of video games and out-of-body experiences, and you can easily replace something like a Sony Playstation VR. There is no built-in WiFi and you’ll need to add a WiFi adapter, but you’ll get a total of 6 x USB 3.0 ports for very quick data transfers, 2 x USB 2.0 ports, a DVD/CD Burner to read and write to different formats, an HDMI output and microphone and headphone jacks. We don’t have a lot to be say or criticise about this budget priced gaming desktop with high-end technical specs that are up there with the best. You won’t be disappointed and definitely a good buy!
