4th generation dual core Haswell i5 processor is not only fast and powerful but also very energy efficient. You can easily get up to 7 hours with the Acer Aspire S7 on a single charge. The performance level also has gone up by about 15% from the previous non-Haswell S7 models. Intel Core i5-4200U Processor at 1.6GHz speed with Turbo Boost Technology up to 2.6GHz, 8GB DDR3 SDRAM and 128 GB Solid-State Drive are what you get as processor, RAM and hard drive.

Although it is a dual core, because it uses hyperthreading technology the two cores can handle four threads at the same time. 8GB RAM is quite a lot to be able to run several programs and multiple browsers at once. Snappy 128GB SSD allows Acer S7 to restart from hibernation in less than 1.5 seconds and from deep sleep in 6 seconds. It gives very fast performance in RAID 0 configuration. This is twice as fast as the normal SSDs. You also have the AcerCloud to have access to all your documents on different systems in different locations even on different operating systems.

White Full HD 13.3 inch LED Backlit bright touchscreen at 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution with durable Gorilla Glass 2 cover at 16:9 cinematic aspect ratio is quite nice with vibrant colors to use with Windows 8's customizable tiles. Viewing angles are great too, when you are watching movies, browsing the net or on social media. The display opens flat and you are able to flip the view by 180 degrees to share the screen with someone on the other side of the table. This is a multi-touch screen that supports 10 finger touch. Graphics card is the advanced Intel HD Graphics 4400, that is integrated in the CPU.
