Pros: HD Screen - Very light and thin - Easy to use - Windows 7 - Easy to set up - Inexpensive and good value for $.
Cons: This is a small computer so don't expect to play full-on 3D games or video editing.
Acer Aspire NX. M83AA. 006 as part of the V5 series, is a great little machine that is quite capable and that performs well in a slim and light package. It is easy to set-up, use and carry around. You can do basically anything that you do daily on any computer and it comes with Windows 7 pre-installed, so this is good news for Windows 8 haters : )
Processor is the AMD A4 1.0 GHz and works efficiently, also with the large 4GB DDR3 RAM memory which makes doing many things at once easily. 500GB Serial ATA hard drive at 5400 RPM is a lot, considering how small and light this machine is and it provides plenty of space to store any of your files. Operating system is the Windos 7, which is preferred by many over the newer Windows 8.
11.6 inch screen with 1366x768 pixel resolution is rather satisfactory with its graphics capabilities (ATI Radeon HD 6290 Graphics) and image quality. Sound is good through the built-in speakers. Keyboard is quite acceptable with the spaced out keys and good use of the small area. Battery life is impressive- 5.5 hours in average use.
In terms of connectivity, you have 802.11bgn Wireless, 2 x USB2.0, 1 x USB 3.0, Webcam, 10/100 LAN, HDMI port. Black Acer V5 is 1.1 inch thick and only 2.65lbs- so it is very portable!
Conclusion: Light and thin Acer Aspire NX.M83AA.006 is more than what we expected at the price it is offered. It can't be for everyone but if you're looking for something you can take around easily but performs fast and well- without lags or freezing in a multitasking situation and complete all your tasks easily, it may well be worth checking out on Amazon.
