Aspire ATC-105-UR11 is one of the latest 'entry to medium range' desktop computer releases by Acer. It looks good, feels solid and reliable, the specs and features are great on the paper and has a nice price tag that seems to make it great value for money. But let's have a look at it in a little more detail.

Firstly the processor, RAM, hard drive and operating system.. What we have here on the Acer Aspire is an AMD A10-6700 quad-core processor at 3.7 GHz speed that is able to go up to 4.3 GHz with the TurboCore function, which is more like the processor of a mid-range computer that is generally powerful and fast with its four cores and could be compared to the Intel i3-3220. You'll be able to run the demanding programs and apps on it without delays or freezes but it still isn't the processor for the latest 3D games or advanced multimedia.

The AMD Radeon HD 8670D graphics card at 1 GHz speed can use 2GB memory for ideal results and is a fairly adequate one with good performance for daily use but not so much the sophisticated games. 10GB DDR3 SDRAM memory is a rather big amount for multitasking and could be expanded to 16 GB if you need it. 1TB Serial ATA/300 hard drive at 7200 rpm is quite a lot of space for any type of customer and should be plenty to save their multimedia and regular files. Operating system that comes pre-installed is the Windows 8.1 that is common in most of the latest laptops and desktops. Even though Win 8 is not very popular in general, it is cool when you get used to it and the 8.1 version comes with some additional useful features.

Acer Aspire ATC-105-UR11 Desktop Review
Acer Aspire ATC has the dimensions of 15.2 x 7.1 x 16.9 inches and weighs 20.8 lbs. You'll find a decent looking and comfortable USB keyboard and a mouse in the package. The tower itself is nice and modern looking that is impressive at first glance and it is good to have some of the ports at the front- not all the ports are at the back like some desktops. It comes with a great range of connectivity options too:

You have the 16X DVD±R/RW SuperMulti Drive, Bluetooth 4.0 to connect to devices without wires, a USB keyboard and optical mouse, IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n wireless, HDMI port (HDTVs), VGA port (monitors), Media card reader, Gigabit Ethernet with RJ-45 Network, 4 x Memory expansion slots, 1 x 3.5" Bays, 1 x External 5.25" Bays, 4 x USB 2.0 Ports, 4 x USB 3.0 Ports for quick transfer of data, Audio Line In and Audio Line Out.

Conclusion: Acer Aspire ATC-105-UR11 is an affordable desktop PC with low to mid-range price, offering better than mid-range features. 10 GB memory, 1 TB hard drive, a capable quad-core AMD-A10 processor (partly why this PC is so affordable for its specs) with a decent graphics card, lots of ports at the front and back for easy connectivity and sturdy build. Great if you're looking for something powerful to perform your daily tasks, desktop to use at work or home office or for entertainment (but not the most advanced games). The maximum power supply for the machine is 300 Watts. It comes with a limited 1 year parts and labor warranty for peace of mind. You'll also get fast delivery with Amazon as usually is the case. Good value for dollar!
